Filmmaker and photographer Gillian Gurny graduated in 2018 from LUCA School of Arts with a degree in Visual Arts. In his second year he chose the Digital Studio where his three focuses were interactive applications, motion graphics and video. It quickly became evident that video and photography were the two mediums in which he excelled in expressing his creativity. In the Digital Studio he was challenged to create innovative solutions through cross disciplinary projects, which he executed with accuracy and originality.
For his thesis at LUCA, he created a short movie based on personal experiences. This short movie impressed the jury, and was awarded one of the coveted jury prizes. He also interned with Shaved Monkey where he completed a number of projects in both collaborative and independent settings. He is is always looking to tackle new challenges and collaborations.
Gillian is a storyteller with a gift for conveying messages artistically and passionately. His ambition is to further his career in the creative business. A few characteristics that describe his personality are poised, efficient, results driven and empathetic. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, vintage design and analog photography.
